Banana “Ice Cream”

Here is probably the easiest recipe you will ever find and surprisingly tasty.  You’ll have to excuse the half eaten bowl in the photo, I started hammering thru it before I could find the camera.

There is a couple of ways you could make this – either  puree then freeze or [...]

Low Carb Tiramisu (seriously)

Another winner in the dessert department, this was seriously tasty and although tiramisu benefits from sitting overnight this one barely lasted in the fridge for two hours.  It was also my first foray into using xylitol as a sugar substitute, now most of the time there is research for the negative and positives of sugar [...]

Chocolate Cake of Mystery

I apologise for the delay between recipes, there is actually a backlog of recipes that have been cooked, photographed and suitably punished afterwards by me.  Since some of the recipes are a little loose to say the least it takes a bit of time to type them out and get them in a format that [...]

Gluten Free Brownies

A few of you sampled these down at the gym monday night, i  think most people would agree they are pretty damn tasty! This is my first foray into baking using coconut flour and from what I read about it I was expecting it to be a bit more temperamental but it seemed fine to [...]

Zonish Chocolate Mousse

This recipe is a bit along the lines of the Zone bar recipes in that it is a little bit too tasty and you will find it hard not to punish waaaaaay too much of it! My advise to you which I had to give to myself is to portion it up when you are [...]

Raspberry Cheesecake

When i saw a recipe for a zone suitable cheesecake, I just had to give it a whirl. I modified it slightly and added raspberries to it and in turn reduced the amount of fructose in it. On fructose, it is available at most health food stores and although it is more expensive [...]

Recipe – Zone Bars

First recipe in the Zone section, these homemade zone bars are a whole lot cheaper and in my opinion a whole lot tastier than the commerical ones.  Really simple to make, I made a double batch of the recipe here and ended up with around 28bars @ roughly 2 blocks each.  Ill do some calculations [...]
