and being a 6′2″ broomstick using Australian I resent that comment!!
That video looks pretty good but can someone tell me what the difference between a snatch balance and a snatch grip push-press with a squat is?
(btw, not trying to be a smart-ass, serious question)
main difference is footwork and speed, in the video he does actually lower into the squat rather than recieve in the bottom position.
The snatch-balance is to train the landing of a full snatch ie landing dynamically in a full squat, you are dropping under the bar.
In a snatch grip push-press you are driving the bar up to lockout and with the squat added you would be controlling down into the bottom position rather than “recieving” in the bottom (insert childish giggle here). Does that kinda clear it up?
