Okay we finally have the data entry system sorted and all the results so far have been entered and turned into graph form. These graphs are now printed and stuck up on the wall, so if you’ve been a little slack over the festival season (which it appears some people have) then it now up there to see in neat graph form!
There are only a couple of weeks left of the Challenge, so now is the time to give yourself another kick back into gear and finish this thing off strong. Regain the focus that so many people had in the first and try and claw some points back (remember it is only 8 weeks and it wasnt meant to be difficult…)/ Well done to those who have stayed on track the whole time and are killing it in the points stakes and getting some great results in workouts to boot.
Those doing the challenge, post to comments what you have found the most difficult, the easiest and if you have missed a few slots here and there why you think you left the wagon?

Week 6 and I’m smelling the end of the Challenge at last..getting 8 plus hours sleep each night for 6 weeks has been quite a chore I can tell you..Ive declined dinner invites, football games, birthday shows and gone home early way too many times that Im not sure how I’ll break the habit after Week 8. Eating clean, training and no alcohol has been the easy part (except of course for my beer each morning!) Come on Week 8…..
I’ve missed out on full points on the 8 plus hours sleep a few times. Some nights I can’t stop thinking about stuff, especially near and after the announcement of an Open WOD. Also, I had grog once. It was at a mate’s 30th. Did not have any sweets, though.
I haven’t been struggling too much with the nutrition side, planning ahead has helped. I too have shunned social situations on more than one occasion to get in my full 8 and I’ve only lost one point so far because my housemates let their alarm clock ring and ring and ring … I almost committed murder that morning. 10 minutes short
I’m pretty pleased with maintaining the nutrition side though and I’m also pleased that the point I lost was not me binging or cheating, but something that was outside my control. The results speak for themselves, 5 and a half weeks in and I’m down about 7 kilos and I feel freakin amazing.
Great work Jenny! You should treat yourself – an all night dance party, a glass of wine, maybe a piece of chocolate or two.
Go on, live a little! I’m sure nobody’s anywhere near you in points… ;p
I had a little different experience..
Before we started the challenge I was already eating clean, sleeping 9hrs and training 2hrs, 6days a week (thanks to the luxurious post-grad lifestyle). However, I was having two VERY large cheat meals per week (around 5000cal in 3hrs).
For the challenge I cut those cheat meals out and tried to make up the calories with consistent good meals through the rest of the week. But after four weeks my training volume and intensity really started to suffer and I mentally and physically felt like absolute crap. I wasn’t getting enough calories in me.
For me I just didn’t have the funds and time to buy and prepare the quantities of clean food that are required – they are not calorically dense enough! Don’t get me wrong though, I really tried, and I was getting enough minerals, nutrients, proteins and essential fats from clean meals before the challenge, and I kept them up (or increased them) during the challenge – but if you’re lean and want to keep up a high training load you need to get those calories in no matter what.
Last wednesday I decided, stuff it, and had a family pizza in addition to my normal post-workout dinner of steak, veggies and oats. Sorry, but I felt amazing after that!
i really started off strong but let myself slide when i knew i couldnt match the kempster! so , i would like to do this again, kate a you keen? have been able to get a few kilos off and the measurements speak for themselves. really have to go a month with clean living and lots of sleep (no booze, no junk, 8+ hours) so reckon I will give it a go for may.
Maybe we should just start a CFA eat good, sleep good, train good club. Hold each other accountable, etc. Have a group on facebook so we can share struggles, ideas, recipes or what ever.
Thoughts?
Bring on Friday 0001 hrs, Lisa SOMERS and I are both going to get up meet at the beach and drink copious amounts of alcohol, eat donuts and then miss Sat morning training! Now that’s a way to finish the Challenge heh! Shame it will only happen in my dreams…..I’m in Games training!! Yippee
Go Jenny!!
And kirsco, sounds good I’m keen! Like palaeo weight watchers?!
